What Is JobPath?
JobPath is a cutting-edge training and recruitment portal designed to help returning veterans and their family members find jobs like never before. Using JobPath, users will develop the capacity to work in any specific job that companies are looking to fill through position-specific online training modules developed by participating companies. Users can also connect with mentors, from fellow veterans to business leaders, who can assist them as they work to find a career and improve their skills.
What sets JobPath apart?
For years, the formula for finding a job was to first get a degree in a specialized field through hours of education, then navigate through the limited job openings listed on online boards and local resources until you found the one that matched your degree. But with JobPath, veterans and their families will be given the chance to change that equation.
Veterans will be able to search for the countless jobs available on our site, and can get matched to job openings that meet their particular skillsets by utilizing our custom Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Translator. Then they will be shown the list of qualifications that job requires, including degrees and/or certificates. If the veteran does not have these specifications, they can simply click “Start Training” and they will be taken to an online training program designed by the company that will give them the skills that they need for the position. Users can also develop their customized resume after filling out their profile, which they can use for any job interview or hiring event. And with our mentorship interface, veterans and their families will be able to speak to others with experience in finding work who can talk them through their issues.
Why should you use JobPath?
Whether you are a veteran transitioning back to civilian life or a military spouse looking to provide for your family while your loved one is away on duty, the job market can be especially tough to navigate. Not only are there more job seekers than ever before, but there are prerequisite qualifications for each job. When a job seeker discovers that they lack the required training, they are immediately dissuaded from going after the job, severely limiting their employment options.
But with JobPath, that all has changed. Now, when a user looks for a job on our site, they can search in whatever their desired career field is, or take advantage of our advanced MOS Translator, and from their they can look through the many thousands of jobs available. When they lack the requisite skills, they can get the training they need to qualify for the job they want most with just the touch of a button. Moreover, they can talk to mentors who can guide them towards the best path forward and help them avoid pitfalls that will hinder their employment prospects.
In addition, since the JobPath portal can be accessed from anywhere, active duty members will be given the chance to train for jobs while they are deployed, reducing the time from their return home from deployment to finding their civilian employment.
