UF Scripps Biomedical Research is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician I at the Jupiter, Florida campus. The UF Scripps Biomedical Research Florida campus in Jupiter, Florida was founded by Scripps Research, one of the world’s most innovative nonprofit biomedical research organizations. We joined the University of Florida, one of the nation’s top five public universities, in April 2022. Together, UF Health and UF Scripps Biomedical Research work to advance science, science education and medicine, all for the benefit of humanity.
- Assist with Compound Management in the procurement, formatting, and datalogging of small chemical libraries
- Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies
- Order laboratory supplies
- Prepare compound solutions in microplates or micro-vials to support ongoing high throughput screening.
- Routine work with computer-controlled automation, workstations, robotics, and freezer inventories.
- Maintain database entries and electronic records.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing PPE
- Work as a member of a team and having good/timely communication skills.
- Other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required or assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in an appropriate area; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in the sciences with laboratory work experience; or bachelor’s degree in the sciences.
